Super Mario Oddessey and BotW are two of the best games on the Switch, they feel fresh and unique to their predecessors.If they do insist on re-releasing 5+ year old games then don’t charge the full 60$ for them, it’s very over priced and very little work is put into rereleasing the game to justify an increase in price (looking at you Skyward Sword originally 40$).The new games Nintendo has released is what drew me to the Switch in the first place, but the past year or so has just been remasters and re-releases.Super Mario 3D World (Bowser’s Fury being the exception)I’m probably missing a few but it feels like Nintendo just hasn’t been able to homd up their launch year of the Switch. We still have Smash Ultimate, Kirby Star Allies, Yoshi's crafted world, new horizons, bowsers fury, Mario maker 2, Pokemon sword and shield, Metroid dread, Pokemon legends arceus, Pearl and Diamond remakes, Xenoblade 2, Mario + rabbids 1 and 2, Super Mario Party, Age of calamity, arms, Luigis mansion 3, New Pokemon Snap, Fire emblem heroes, snipperclips, 1 2 Switch, Miitopia, breath of the wild 2 and splatoon 3, and more im probably missing. Nothing will ever compare to that line up, so naturally any other year is gonna look worse compared to it, even if they had a bunch of new titles. As a game developer, they have constantly been working.The thing is Nintendo's launch year dropped some really heavy titles like breath of the wild, super Mario odyssey, and splatoon 2, with the previous 2 being serious contenders for game of the year.
